Hitch locks prevent unauthorized removal of the ball and accessories in the hitch. Receiver locks keep the hitch attached to the towing vehicle by locking it in the receiver. Locking pins, versatile in use, come with built-in locks and can secure various components. Together, these devices enhance towing security.

Locking pins are used to secure various components together, ensuring they remain attached and cannot be easily separated. They are commonly found in towing setups, machinery, and equipment, where they provide a secure connection while also offering the flexibility of quick disassembly when needed. The built-in lock mechanism prevents unauthorized removal, enhancing safety and security.

To choose the right size locking pin for your vehicle or equipment, measure the diameter of the insertion hole and the length needed to ensure a snug fit. Consider the equipment's weight and load-bearing capacity. Check the material for durability and consult the equipment's manual or experts for guidance.

Yes, there are various types of hitch locks available, each designed to secure different manufacturer hitches and deter theft. These locks can range from pin locks that secure the hitch accessories in place, preventing unauthorized removal, to coupler locks that prevent a trailer from being hitched to a vehicle without the key, and even receiver locks that secure the ball mount to the vehicle's receiver. The choice of hitch lock depends on the specific needs and type of trailer setup one has.

To securely install a hitch or receiver lock, first select the right type for your setup, such as pin, trailer coupler, or receiver locks. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions at https://infiniterule.com/installation. This usually involves inserting the lock through the hitch pin hole or around the coupler, and then fastening by rotating the key 3 to 4 rotations. Regularly check for wear or tampering to ensure continued security.

They consist of a durable yet sleek design, typically made from high strength stainless steel for reliable security.

To ensure the longevity of your locking pin, regularly inspect it for signs of wear, or damage. Clean it with a mild detergent and water, then dry thoroughly. Lubricate with a DRY Lock Lubricant. This gives the lock and its components additional anti-corrosion properties while lubricating the lock and not attracting dirt like other oily lubricants.

Consider applying a thin coating of white lithium grease to the pin. This will help prevent wear from metal on metal contact, along with helping prevent corrosion on your hitch. Store in a dry place and avoid exposing it to harsh chemicals or extreme conditions. Periodically check its functionality to ensure it locks and unlocks smoothly. Regularly inspecting your hitch lock or locking pin is essential for towing safety. Check it every time you hitch or unhitch to ensure it's in good condition. We have universal locks and manufacturer specific locks that fit all types of hitches, receivers and trailers.

A standard pin and a locking pin both secure components together, but they differ in design and function. A standard pin is a straight or tapered pin that relies on a cotter pin to hold in place. On the other hand, a locking pin has a lock that ensures it remains securely in place, offering a higher level of security against accidental disconnections.

Make sure the lock is properly installed and the correct size for your application. The lock should be properly tightened and should not rattle loosely on the pin. Do NOT over tighten the lock to the pin. Refer to installation instructions for additional information https://infiniterule.com/installation/

Periodically lubricating your locking pin is recommended and ensures smooth operation and longevity. Dry lubricants are preferred as they resist dirt while not leaving an oily residue. Light oils can be used, but they may attract debris, so regular maintenance is essential. Always consult the manufacturer's guidelines before applying any lubricant to your hitch lock.
